Dahlia, 'Cafe au Lait', 1 tuber
Dahlia 'Cafe Au Lait' - one of the most popular dahlias, distinguished by very large flowers 20–28 cm in diameter and a unique, delicate color combination of creamy, champagne, light peach and slightly pink tones, which may vary slightly depending on the weather and growing conditions. The flower has a full, multi-layered form, which makes it especially sought after in floristry and wedding arrangements.
Dahlia tubers are planted outdoors in a bed after the last frosts, usually in May. If you want flowering to start earlier, the tubers can be started in March and April by placing them in a pot and keeping the pot indoors. The tubers will begin to produce new shoots; after that, the resulting plants can be transplanted outdoors when there is no longer a risk of frost.
In autumn, the tubers are dug up and overwintered in a box in a cellar or another cool place.
