Dahlia 'Gerrie Hoek' 1 tuber
Dahlia 'Gerrie Hoek' - old (1942) waterlily dahlia with double flowers, about 12–15 cm in diameter. The flowers are a soft pink tone with white accents at the tip of each petal, and a darker pink center. Abundantly flowering, ideal for cutting and floral arrangements.
Dahlia tubers are planted outdoors in a bed after the last frosts, usually in May. If you want flowering to start earlier, the tubers can be started in March and April by placing them in a pot and keeping the pot indoors. The tubers will begin to sprout new shoots; the resulting plants can then be transplanted outdoors when frosts are no longer a threat.
In autumn, the tubers are dug up and overwintered in a box in a cellar or another cool place.
