Oxeye daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare)
Oxeye Daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare) – also known as the common marguerite, ox-eye daisy, dog daisy. A perennial plant with white flowers and yellow centers, typical of European meadows and roadside wildflowers. Forms dense rosettes and sturdy stems reaching approximately 40–70 cm in height. Blooms from June to August, attracting bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
Growing conditions: Prefers a sunny or partially shaded location with moderately moist, well-drained soil. Suitable for natural meadow plantings, flower beds, and garden borders. Seeds can be sown directly outdoors in spring or early autumn. Scatter thinly and lightly cover with soil. Germination takes 7–21 days and is often uneven. Easily self-seeds, flowers for a long period, and creates a natural, wild meadow effect. Perfect for cut flowers or enhancing garden landscapes.
