Bird's eyes (Gilia tricolor) 0,2g
Bird's eyes (Gilia tricolor) - an easy-to-grow, annual flowering plant with delicate yet striking flowers that have a pleasant fragrance. The flowers are tricolored – light blue to violet with a dark violet center and a light yellow middle part. Forms a light, branched clump and blooms abundantly from late spring to mid-summer. Attracts bees and other beneficial insects.
Sow outdoors directly into the soil in April–May or in autumn in September–October; sow the seeds very shallowly, just lightly pressing them into the soil or covering with a thin (1–2 mm) layer of soil, as light is needed for germination. Germination occurs within 7–14 days at +15–20 °C. After sprouting, thin out, leaving about 15–20 cm spacing. Gilia grows best in a sunny spot, in light, well-drained soil, watering moderately; after rooting, it is quite drought-tolerant. Good self-seeder.
