Giant larkspur 'White King' (Delphinium ajacis) 20 seeds
Giant larkspur 'White King' (Delphinium ajacis) (Delphinium elatum) – a variety with old-fashioned, fully double hyacinth-shaped blooms forming a solid mass of clean white flowers along the stems. One of the easiest cut flowers to grow, this larkspur is cold-tolerant and blooms early in spring, adding tall, colorful spikes to garden beds.
It grows best when sown directly outdoors in late fall or early spring, but seeds can also be started indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost and then transplanted outside while the weather is still cool. For indoor sowing, seeds may benefit from 10–14 days in the freezer to speed germination. The plant reaches 90–120 cm in height, prefers full sun with moderately moist, well-drained soil, and has a flowering period of 110–120 days. Harvest when about one-third of the blossoms on a stem are open; cut flowers last 5–7 days in a vase.
⚠️ Caution: All parts of Delphinium species, including seeds, are poisonous. Keep away from children and pets. Contact with the plant may cause skin irritation, redness, or itching, but the greatest risk is ingestion.
