Oriental Poppy 'Brilliant' (Papaver orientale) – a perennial with large, silky red flowers and sturdy, strong stems. Sow directly outdoors in a permanent location in May–June. Cover the seeds with a very thin layer of soil and lightly press down. Requires fertile, calcareous, well-cultivated soil. Can be transplanted to another location in September. Flowers the year after sowing.
