Purple foxglove ‘Dottie Warm Rose’ F1 (Digitalis purpurea) 10 seeds
Purple foxglove ‘Dottie Warm Rose’ F1 (Digitalis purpurea) – foxglove is usually a biennial plant, but this hybrid flowers in the first year if the seeds are sown early and, if left in the growing site, will also flower in the second year. ‘Dottie Warm Rose’ forms long, striking flower spikes with warm pink, bell-shaped blooms. Thanks to its uniform growth, the variety ensures consistent quality and high ornamental value.
Sow seeds indoors in seed trays 10–12 weeks before the last spring frosts. Transplant seedlings outdoors when the risk of frost has passed. Seeds can also be sown in late summer and planted out to establish before winter; then the plant will flower earlier the following year. Cut flowers when only a few of the lower blooms have opened. In a vase, the flowers last 6–8 days.
⚠️ Attention: Please note that parts of plants of the genus Digitalis, including the seeds, are poisonous, so care should be taken around children and pets. Contact with the plant on the skin may cause irritation, redness, and itching, but the greatest danger arises if parts of the plant are eaten.
