Woolly Foxglove 'Café creme' (Digitalis lanata) 10 seeds
Woolly foxglove 'Café creme' (Digitalis lanata) - a pollinator-friendly variety, adorned with cream-colored inflorescences with chocolate-colored nuances. The flowers are covered with fine hairs, like wool. The flowers are long-lasting and excellent for cut flower arrangements. Blooms later than most Digitalis purpurea varieties.
Sow seeds in late spring to early summer. Transplant seedlings into the garden at least 6 weeks before the first autumn frost. Plants overwinter in the garden and bloom the following spring. Cut flowers for a vase when only a few lower flowers have opened, before bees pollinate them. Vase life: 6–8 days.
⚠️ Attention: Note that parts of plants of the Digitalis genus, including seeds, are poisonous, so be cautious around children and pets. Contact with the plant may cause irritation, redness, and itching of the skin, but the greatest danger arises if parts of the plant are ingested.
