Camphor basil (Ocimum kilimandscharicum) 5 seeds
Camphor basil (Ocimum kilimandscharicum) - in its native Africa, it is a perennial (in our conditions, it is annual, as it cannot survive our winters). An aromatic basil with a distinctly strong, fresh camphor-eucalyptus-like aroma. Forms a lush, branched bush with silvery-green, slightly hairy leaves and decorative violet-pink inflorescences that attract pollinators. The plant is heat-loving, drought-resistant, and suitable for both beds and pot cultivation. Traditionally used in aromatherapy, natural repellents, and for medicinal purposes; in cooking, used sparingly due to its intense flavor.
Sow seeds indoors for seedlings or directly in the bed after frost. Germination occurs within 7–14 days. Basil prefers a sunny, warm location and fertile, well-drained soil. Regular harvesting of leaves and tops promotes bushier growth and prolonged yield.
