Eucalyptus ‘Baby Blue Bouquet’ (Eucalyptus pulverulenta)
Eucalyptus ‘Baby Blue Bouquet’ (Eucalyptus pulverulenta) - a variety bred for professional cut flower cultivation, characterized by distinctly uniform growth and predictable shoot formation. The variety forms large, even clusters with bluish-gray shoots covered with characteristic round leaves arranged alternately on both sides of the stem. The young, round leaves fit closely to the stem, creating a visually clean, structured form that is especially valued in floristry. An aromatic and textural accent for late-season bouquets; suitable both fresh and dried. This is a true-to-type tested variety, ensuring the preservation of varietal characteristics over generations.
Eucalyptus is native to Australia, where, due to the warm climate and bright days, it grows as a perennial plant. In Europe, it is grown as an annual.
Sow seeds indoors 10–12 weeks before the last frost. Press the seeds into the soil without covering them with soil. Germination is slow, up to 30 days, requiring patience and stable temperature. The vegetation period lasts 120-150 days. Soil pH 5.5 - 6.5
Harvest when the foliage is fully mature and the shoot tips are no longer drooping. Vase life — 14 days or more. The leaves are also suitable for drying and retain their decorative appearance for a long time.
