This glass vase is suitable for growing Hippeastrum bulbs sized 28/30 or smaller. From the Hippeastrum varieties available at our shop, the following will fit this vase: ‘Arctic Nymph’, ‘Pink Glory’, and ‘Marilyn’. The remaining varieties have larger bulbs.

You can fill the vase with soil and grow the bulb in substrate (leaving 1/3 of the bulb above the soil). It can also be used for water culture: place a layer of stones at the bottom, add water so that it touches only the roots, and allow the bulb to “sit” on top of the stones. The transparent glass lets you observe the entire process — root development and the growth of the flower stem.
