Eggplant 'Early Long Purple' (Solanum melongena), 15 sēklas
'Early Long Purple' eggplant is a mild, compact, upright plant usually grown as an annual vegetable crop. It has soft, grayish-green leaves and light purple-red flowers in summer, followed by slender, elongated, cylindrical purple-black fruits with white flesh. Ready for harvest about 75 days after germination.
"Early Long Purple" is a traditional, most popular Italian variety. The best taste is when the fruits are harvested young. The fruits usually reach 20 cm in length. Regular harvesting encourages more fruit production. The plant itself can reach a height of 1m.
Sow indoors from March to May in seed trays. Germinates within 10-20 days. At the end of May/June, transplant to a greenhouse.
It is recommended to grow in a greenhouse. Support is required. 'Early Long Purple' eggplants can also be grown in a pot.
