Sugar peas ‘Ambrosia’ (Pisum sativum)
Sugar peas ‘Ambrosia’ (Pisum sativum) – An early sugar pea variety that forms strong plants about 60 cm tall with crunchy, sweet pods. The pods develop 50–65 days after germination and are suitable for eating together with the peas.
Sow early in spring, usually in April, directly into the ground. Sow seeds at a depth of 3–5 cm. After two weeks, sow again to extend the harvest period. Grows best in moderately heavy soil that is permeable to water and air. Requires a sunny location. It is recommended to grow peas in the same place no more often than once every 4–5 years, observing crop rotation.
