Sweet peas ‘Kelvedon’ (Pisum sativum)
Sweet peas ‘Kelvedon’ (Pisum sativum) - a high-yielding shelling sweet pea variety. Forms a compact, strong plant with sweet, bright green peas that stand out for their excellent taste. Suitable for use fresh, dried, frozen, and canned. Each pod contains an average of 6-8 peas.
Sow early in spring, usually in April, directly into the ground. Sow seeds 3–5 cm deep. After two weeks, sow again to extend the harvest period. Grows best in medium-heavy soil that is permeable to water and air. Requires a sunny location. It is recommended to grow peas in the same place no more often than once every 4–5 years, following crop rotation.
