Zucchini 'Costata Romanesco' - a traditional Italian variety with an excellent, nutty flavor. The distinctive feature of the variety is the prominent, raised ribs that run along the entire length of the fruit. Very tasty fresh, raw, or cooked.
Edible flowers: Produces many male flowers, which are excellent for cooking. The flowers have a mild flavor and can be stuffed and baked, or sliced into soups, omelets, salads, and pasta dishes.
Sow directly into the ground at the end of May/June or in seed trays at the beginning of May, plant outdoors after the last frost. Seeds germinate easily from 18°C, sprouting within 7-10 days. Water mature plants regularly, but avoid watering the center of the plant, as this can promote mold.
