Giant Snowdrop

Snowdrop Elwesii (Galanthus elwesii), Giant Snowdrop – one of the most beloved and earliest spring snowdrops. Flowers appear very early – often in February, while the garden is still covered with snow. The nodding, white blooms feature a distinctive green mark in the center. Elwesii snowdrop is easily recognized by its broader green leaves. Height around 20 cm. Thrives in sunny or partially shaded spots with moist but well-drained soil. Looks especially beautiful when planted in groups under trees, shrubs, or in naturalistic meadow-style plantings. If soil conditions are suitable, it reliably returns each year in ever larger clumps.
