Wood Anemone (Anemonoides nemorosa)
It is recommended to plant the rhizomes as soon as you receive them. The rhizomes are small, about 8 cm long, and look like little twigs.
Wood Anemone (Anemonoides nemorosa) – a charming spring plant with white flowers. It blooms from April to early May, forming wide, beautifully flowering carpets. It can be grown under trees. The plant reaches a height of 10–20 cm and produces underground rhizomes. Wood Anemone is hardy, easy to grow, and returns year after year with abundant flowering.
Soil: light, well-drained, moist, and rich in leaf humus or compost. In nature, wood anemones grow under trees or shrubs – a similar location is recommended in the garden. Wood Anemone prefers partial shade or shade.
Depth: plant the rhizomes about 3–5 cm deep, horizontally (not vertically).
Spacing: about 10–15 cm between rhizomes.
After planting, water lightly and mulch with leaves or compost.
