Blue Vervain (Verbena hastata) 20 seeds
Blue Vervain (Verbena hastata) – commonly known as American vervain or swamp verbena. Perennial, upright, bushy plant forming tall, spike-like flower clusters. The flowers are typically blue to violet and create elegant, tower-shaped inflorescences. Blue vervain blooms from June to September and is particularly attractive to butterflies, bees, and other pollinators. Growing conditions: sunny or partially shaded location, moist, well-drained soil; suitable for natural meadows, garden edges, or near water bodies.
Sow in seed trays, place in a warm spot (18–22°C) for 2–4 weeks, then move to the refrigerator (+4°C ) for 4–6 weeks, and finally return to room temperature to trigger germination. Seeds germinate irregularly over a long period, so do not discard the sowing too soon. Direct sowing in the ground is also possible in the fall – allow the seeds to overwinter in the soil, and germination will occur in spring.
