Common zinnia ‘Peppermint Stick’ (Zinnia elegans) – a bright and playful variety that stands out with striped flowers in yellow, cream, orange, and red shades. Each flower is unique, creating a real “candy” effect in the bed and bouquets.
Sow indoors in a seed tray 4–6 weeks before the last frost or outdoors directly in the ground after the frost. Lightly cover the seeds with soil. Germinates in 7–14 days at 20–25°C.
Zinnias prefer a sunny location and well-drained soil. Water regularly, but avoid excessively wet soil. Pinch off faded flowers or cut flowers for a vase to encourage continuous blooming.
