Garden cosmos 'Apricot lemonade' (Cosmos bipinnatus)
Garden cosmos ‘Apricot Lemonade’ (Cosmos bipinnatus) has a unique colour palette – soft cream-white to creamy yellow petals, with deeper rose to purple tones toward the centre. The flowering period can be extended by regularly removing faded blooms. Cutting back about one-third of the plants once most flowers have finished will encourage fresh foliage and a new flush of blooms.
Cover the seeds with only a thin layer of soil, as they need light to germinate. Transplant outdoors only after the last frost. Spacing: 30 cm. Avoid overwatering – cosmos do not like excessively wet conditions.
