Slender Vervain ‘Polaris’ (Verbena rigida) 20 seeds
Slender Vervain ‘Polaris’ (Verbena rigida) is a tough, compact, low-growing perennial forming dense clumps with wiry stems and rigid, dark green leaves, known for its prolific, fragrant, pale lilac flowers that bloom from early summer to frost, making it perfect for hot, dry spots, containers, and pollinator gardens; typically reaching 30 cm in height and spread, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, is drought-tolerant once established, attracts bees and butterflies, requires minimal maintenance, and can be pruned or deadheaded to encourage continued flowering. In a mild winter, there is a chance it may overwinter.
Sow seeds indoors in early spring, lightly press the seeds into the soil without covering them too deeply, keep moist, and transplant outdoors after the last frost; germination usually takes 14–21 days. You can also sow Vervain ‘Polaris’ seeds directly outdoors after the last frost in well-drained soil.
