Zinnia ‘Purple Prince’ (Zinnia elegans)

Zinnia ‘Purple Prince’ (Zinnia elegans) – a striking, richly flowering variety with bold, intensely purple, fully double blooms. The flowers are large, well-shaped, and very long-lasting, making them ideal both for garden beds and for cut flower arrangements. Attracts butterflies and other pollinators. Strong plants with sturdy stems that perform well even in changing weather conditions.

Sow indoors in seed trays 4–6 weeks before the last frost, or directly outdoors after frost risk has passed. Cover seeds lightly with soil. Germination takes 7–14 days at 20–25°C. Prefers a sunny position and well-drained soil. Water regularly but avoid waterlogged conditions. Deadhead spent blooms or cut flowers for the vase to encourage continuous flowering.
