Great burnet (Sanguisorba officinalis) 20 seeds
Great burnet can be sown in two ways: 1) in September - October outdoors. Then the seeds will germinate the following spring. 2) in March - April in a seedling box indoors. If the soil temperature is 20ºC, the first sprouts will appear after two weeks.
After the last frosts, it can be planted outdoors. Do not plant too close to each other, as the lower part of the plant can become quite bushy. Planting distance is about 35 - 40 cm. Brownwort does not like excessive moisture, so the soil should be well-drained.
By the way, the young leaves are edible. They have a slight bitterness. Can be added to dishes just before serving.
