Opium poppy 'Black peony' (Papaver somniferum) 0,5g
Opium poppy ‘Black Peony’ is an impressive, double-flowered poppy with large, showy flowers in a deep violet, almost black color, resembling peonies. Lush and very unusual.
Blooms abundantly in mid-summer. After flowering, it forms decorative seed pods, which are also suitable for dry arrangements. The seeds are edible.
Sow directly outdoors in a permanent location. Cover the seeds with a very thin layer of soil and press the soil lightly. Poppies can also be sown in intervals to enjoy a longer blooming period.
