Starry Scabiosa 'Paper Moon' (Scabiosa stellata) or (Lomelosia stellata) - A hardy plant with unusual, round flower heads that, after blooming, turn into light, star-shaped seed heads. These structures are highly sought after in floristry—for both fresh and dried flower arrangements. The flowers attract pollinators and give beds an airy, playful character.

'Paper Moon'  - A selected, more stable and uniform variety. Uniformly round, decorative, large star-shaped seed heads. Popular among florists specifically for drying—the shape, height, and color quality are superior. 

Sow from March to May indoors. Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil and keep the soil slightly moist. After the frosts, they can be transplanted outdoors. Scabiosa grows best in well-drained sandy loam soil with an alkaline or neutral pH level. If the soil is heavy, it is recommended to incorporate organic matter to improve drainage. Compost or well-rotted manure will help improve drainage while also providing additional fertility to the soil.
