Comfrey (Symphytum officinale), 5 seeds
Comfrey (Symphytum officinale) is a perennial, moisture-loving plant with strong roots and dark green, thick leaf rosettes. Comfrey is one of the oldest known medicinal plants, widely used in folk medicine and homeopathy. Comfrey can improve soil health and even serve as fertilizer for other plants. Attracts pollinators to the garden.
It is best to sow seeds directly outdoors about three weeks before the last expected frosts, sowing 1cm deep in the soil. Keep the soil moist while the seeds germinate. Germinates within two to three weeks. The plant grows in a sunny or partially sunny location, in moist and nutrient-rich soil. Comfrey roots are very productive, so it is recommended to limit them or grow them in a separate bed.
