Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum), 5g
Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) is a plant from the legume family. It is cultivated to fix nitrogen in the soil and improve soil quality. Sieramoliņš is also grown to obtain seeds. The seeds smell and taste like maple syrup and are used in cooking and medicine.
Sow at a depth of 6mm. Germinates quite quickly. It will feel good in well-drained soil with a neutral or slightly alkaline pH level. Additional fertilization is not necessary. It is sufficient if matured manure or compost has been incorporated into the soil before planting.
Sierāboliņš needs at least 4–5 hours of direct sunlight per day and can tolerate afternoon shade. In warmer climates, it can be planted in partial shade, but in cooler areas, it is best grown in a sunny spot. Water regularly and moderately.
