Golden marguerite (Anthemis tinctoria) 0,1g
Golden marguerite (Anthemis tinctoria) – A perennial wild plant with bright yellow flowers, forming compact clusters in garden beds and adding charm to floral arrangements. Blooms throughout summer until early autumn. Prefers sunny locations and well-drained soil.
Sow in spring in seed trays or directly into beds. Germination occurs in 10–20 days. If raised in trays, transplant seedlings outdoors after the last frost. The plant is drought-tolerant and low-maintenance, but removing faded flowers encourages continuous blooming.
The flower heads are harvested for medicinal purposes, typically during peak bloom (June–August), when the center of the flower head is still flat and not fully open. This stage contains the highest concentration of essential oils. Yellow chamomile exhibits insecticidal and bactericidal properties.
