Japanese parsley / Mitsuba (Cryptotaenia japonica) 0,1g
Japanese parsley / Mitsuba (Cryptotaenia japonica) – an aromatic herb, perennial in nature (often grown as an annual), widely used in Japanese cuisine for its fresh leaves, tender stems, and young seed heads. The leaves are divided into three lobes (hence the name “mitsuba” – “three leaves”), with a mild, fresh flavor reminiscent of parsley, coriander, and celery. Ideal for salads, soups, sushi, garnishing, and various Asian dishes.
Grows best in partial shade to shade in moist but well-drained soil. Suitable for beds or containers. Sow seeds outdoors in spring or start in trays; germination takes about 10–21 days. Harvest continuously by picking leaves or cutting stems. If left to flower, it self-seeds well and can return in following years.
