Agastache (Agastache rugosa), also known as Korean mint, Giant hyssop, Anise hyssop. The edible leaves have an anise flavor. The purple flowers, which bloom all summer, are very attractive to bees. The plant self-sows in autumn.

Sow seeds indoors 4 to 6 weeks before the last expected frost. Transplant the plants outside when the seedling is at least 10cm tall. When sown directly in the ground, the plant will flower later than if sown indoors and transplanted outside later. Seeds can also be sown directly in the ground in autumn. And in spring, the seeds will start to germinate when the conditions are right.

Grows and blooms best in a very sunny location. Will tolerate slight shade. Likes fertile, well-drained soil.
