Clary sage (Salvia sclarea) 0,1g
Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea) - In the first season, it grows a large silvery-gray rosette with broad, oval leaves with a typical sage aroma. In the second year, 75-100 cm tall, flower-filled stems grow. Blooms with light violet flowers.
Sow in March/April in a seedling box indoors or at the end of April/May – directly outdoors.
This graceful sage also has great value as a herb: The flowers are edible raw and delicious in salads or tea. The leaves give a strong, aromatic flavor and fragrance (taste) to dishes. The leaves can be dipped in batter and fried in a pan.
Medicinal properties are comparable to Salvia officinalis (Common Sage): for digestion and as a calming agent.
