Common thyme 'German Winter' (Thymus vulgaris) 0,2g
Common thyme ‘German Winter’ - is a hardy, perennial variety of thyme, popular for its intense aroma and excellent winter hardiness. Suitable for the Latvian climate – it overwinters and regrows as a lush and strong bush. Forms a compact bush 20 - 40 cm high. Can be shaped as needed. Blooms in mid-summer with pale pink flowers, attracting bees and other pollinators. Excellent for culinary use, teas, and herb mixes. After flowering, it is recommended to cut the plants so that they produce new shoots and survive the winter better.
Sow in seed trays in March–April, just lightly pressing the seeds into the soil. Light is needed for germination. Grows in a sunny location, in light, well-drained soil. Germinates in 14–28 days. Can be sown directly outdoors in May.
