Blood amaranth 'Green thumb' (Amaranthus cruentus) 0,1g
Amaranth ‘Green Thumb’ (Amaranthus cruentus) – a strong, decorative variety with dense, striking green flower plumes. Plants develop sturdy, upright stems, grow quickly, and usually reach 45–60 cm in height. Excellent for floristry – suitable both for fresh cut arrangements and for drying.
Sow indoors in March–April or directly outdoors in May when the risk of frost has passed. Press the seeds lightly onto the soil surface without covering them, as they need light to germinate. Germination takes about 7–14 days in warmth. Grows best in a sunny spot with well-drained, fertile soil; tolerates heat and short dry periods very well.
