Foxtail millet 'Red Jewel' (Setaria italica) 0,5g
Italian millet ‘Red Jewel’ (Setaria italica) is a decorative annual grass with expressive, dense, spike-shaped inflorescences in a deep reddish-brown to burgundy shade, which gives structure and color accent to flowerbeds until autumn; reaches about 80–120 cm in height, grows well in a sunny location, in light, well-drained soil, is undemanding and relatively drought-tolerant. Sow directly into the ground after the last frost, germinates within 7–14 days, and is suitable both for decorative plantings and for dried bouquets, as well as for bird feed in autumn if the withered spikes are left in the beds (not cut off).
