Tatsoi (Brassica rapa var. narinosa), 2g
Tatsoi (Brassica rapa var. narinosa), is an easy-to-grow leafy vegetable that germinates and grows quickly. It is widely used in Asian cuisine. Tatsoi is an alternative to the well-known pak choi. Its dark green, thick leaves are crisp and can be eaten raw or cooked like spinach. Young plants need only light protection from cold nights. The variety is hardy and can be harvested and stored for a long time.
Typically sown outdoors from March to August, with a spacing of 10–20 cm. Prefers fertile, well-prepared soil rich in nutrients. Usage: salads, salad mixes, stews, soups, juices, drying for chips.
